Herringbone flooring has traditionally been limited to the grandest Victorian and Edwardian homes. Now, the Lignum Strata 15/4 Premium range of herringbone floors are significantly more affordable and will create a unique conversation piece wherever it may be installed. Four distinct variations of oak are offered as well as the warm, rich reddish hues of acacia.
Delivery & Access Information
Your flooring will be delivered either on pallets via an HGV or bubble-wrapped in a courier van, depending on order size. Deliveries take place Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, and a signature is required.
Order before 12pm and we offer next working day delivery, so you can start your project without delay.
All deliveries are kerbside, so please be ready to unwrap and move your flooring inside. If a fire-engine-sized vehicle cannot easily access your road or driveway, let us know in the checkout comments and we’ll make alternative arrangements at no extra charge.
You won’t need to wait around at home for your delivery. Simply choose a delivery date at checkout up to four months in advance and get on with your day.

30-day Returns & Cancellations
Need to return something?
No need to rush. Return anytime within 30 days.
You're responsible for the goods until they reach us. Items must be returned in resellable condition, with the original packaging unopened and the seal intact. We recommend taking a photo when handing your return to the delivery company, just in case.
Please add extra packaging to keep the manufacturer’s box clean and damage-free on its journey back. Use a carrier that offers insurance — if goods arrive damaged, we won’t be able to issue a refund. Better safe than sorry.
It’s your responsibility to arrange all returns and cover the cost. Don’t forget to include a completed return form — without it, your items may be lost and your refund won’t be processed.
Cancellations
Orders cannot be cancelled and reordered in a sale or using a discount code after the initial order. The first order will remain valid in all cases.
Before dispatch: Changed your mind? No problem — contact us and we’ll refund you in full within 14 days.
In transit: If your order is already on the way, let us know. We’ll work with the courier to stop it and refund you minus delivery costs within 14 days.
After delivery: You have 30 days from the delivery date to return your items if you change your mind.

- What should be the humidity of the self levelling subfloor to which the floor will be glued?
- The subfloor moisture level must be no greater than 75% relative humidity (RH) before your engineered floor is installed. This needs to be measured with a calibrated hygrometer — a surface scratch test is not sufficient. We'd recommend testing in multiple spots across the room, as moisture can vary. A few other things worth knowing for a self-levelling subfloor: If the self-leveller is anhydrite/calcium sulphate based, it must be sanded and primed before the adhesive is applied — this is essential for proper bonding If moisture readings come back above 75% RH, a liquid-applied epoxy DPM (damp proof membrane) will need to be applied over the self-leveller before laying The self-leveller should be fully cured before testing — depending on thickness this can take several weeks The room should be at a stable temperature of 18–22°C and the boards should be left to acclimatise in the room for at least 48 hours before installation begins
