Why Wastage Is Included

When ordering flooring, extra material is always required to allow for cuts, corners, doorways, and natural variations in room shape. Wastage also helps cover adjustments during installation and reduces the risk of delays or shortages on site.

How We Calculate Wastage

Our calculator automatically includes the appropriate wastage allowance in your order.

  • 10% Wastage is applied for standard room layouts and straightforward installations. This is the UK industry standard.
  • 15% Wastage is applied for more complex spaces, such as multiple rooms, hallways, patterned layouts (including herringbone), or areas with lots of angles and obstacles.

You don’t need to select or calculate anything — the system adjusts this for you based on your requirements.

What This Means for You

  • No guesswork or manual calculations
  • Enough material for a clean, professional finish
  • Confidence that your order is correctly sized

By building wastage directly into the calculation, we make sure your flooring project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Easy to fit, looks brilliant

"This flooring went into our kitchen and the grain pattern looks very natural. We had great support sorting out the right quantity to order. Glad we went with this option."
