Kitchen units first or floor first?

  • Floating floors (click systems) e.g, Laminate and SPC should not be fitted under the weight of Kitchen units. As you need to allow for expansion of the floor. (Kickboards, Piths & Sideboards can be fitted after installation of floating floors)

  • Floor Street are a retailer of floor covering, and we are not an installation company, we do not offer floor installation as a service. 3rd party businesses do all installations, and you pay them directly for that service. Floor street is responsible for the products you purchase, and the manufactures warranty covers you for that product.

Here is how it usually works…(within a 25-mile radius of the Birmingham Showroom)

  • Step 1: Find the floor you love with the help of your decor and technical consultant at Floor Street
  • Step 2: Get a quote based on the measurements you have provided, or we have taken via home visit.
  • Step 3: Purchase your floor and accessories which can be sent direct to you or kept here until needed.
  • Step 4: Contact our trusted fitting partners and book an installation date.
  • Step 5: Wait until your new floor is fitted and enjoy the quality.
